§ 1-9. Certain ordinances not affected by Code.

  • Nothing in this Code or the ordinance adopting this Code shall affect any ordinance:

    (1)

    Promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the town, or authorizing the issuance of any bonds of the town or any evidence of the town's indebtedness, or any contract or obligations assumed by the town.

    (2)

    Printed in the town Charter.

    (3)

    Granting any right or franchise.

    (4)

    Dedicating, naming, establishing, locating, relocating, opening, paving, widening, vacating, etc., any street or public way.

    (5)

    Making any appropriation.

    (6)

    Levying or imposing taxes, not codified in this Code.

    (7)

    Extending or contracting the boundaries of the town.

    (8)

    Providing for local improvements or special assessments and assessing taxes therefor.

    (9)

    Dedicating or accepting any plat or subdivision, or adopting or amending the comprehensive plan.

    (10)

    Relating to zoning, not codified in this Code.

    (11)

    Prescribing through streets, parking prohibitions, parking limitations, one-way traffic, limitations on loads of vehicles, or loading zones, not inconsistent with the Code.

    (12)

    Which is temporary, although general in effect.

    (13)

    Which is special, although permanent in effect.

    (14)

    The purpose of which has been accomplished.
