§ 46-36. Town to collect tax when it renders utility services.

If the town is or shall become the seller, jobber or distributor of any of the services or utilities described in this article, it shall be unlawful for the town to sell or furnish or distribute any of the services or utilities without collection of the tax levied by this article and at the time specified in this article.
