§ 3.14.00. Variances and special exceptions.

  • For the purposes of this Code, a "variance" is a relaxation of the strict application of the setback, height or dimensional requirements of this Code. A "special exception" allows a use of land or structure under specific conditions which are, or may be, set by the board of adjustment resulting from an application for a specific use on a specific lot or parcel. Any relaxation of landscape requirements is considered a special exception.
