§ 6.03.06. Signage and signalization.

Latest version.
  • The developer of new streets shall be responsible for the installation of all required traffic control devices and street signs. If all required devices and/or signs are not installed and operational when a certificate of occupancy (CO) is requested, the CO shall be withheld until such time as the requirements are met. If unusual conditions or circumstances exist which prohibit such installation, the developer shall deposit with the town sufficient funds to provide all necessary roadway signs and traffic signalization as may be required by the town, based upon town or state traffic standards. At least two street name signs shall be placed at each four-way street intersection, and one at each "T" intersection. Signs shall be installed so that they are free of visual obstruction. The design of street name signs shall be consistent, of a style appropriate to the community and of a uniform size and color.
